WWF has launched a Tiger Trail in Singapore, courtesy of curator Chris Westbrook, partnering with like-minded supporters to ensure the protection and conservation of tigers in Southeast Asia, where the populations are most vulnerable.  Artists were invited to support this project through an installation of 34 life size sculptures on display throughout Singapore. Artists included Zhang Huan, Ian Davenport, Jake Chapman amongst others.

Dave White's 'Tiger' is installed in the Gardens By The Bay until 9th April and will be available to an online auction via Sotheby's with 100% of the sale proceeds donated to WWF.

'I have featured Tigers in my work for the last ten years, highlighting their plight as an endangered species, through my portraits in oils and watercolours. I wanted to connect this journey with my sculpture, reflecting the same materials that I use such as the 24 Carat gold leaf. My aim was to create movement and a realistic quality to the work, whilst highlighting the scarcity and precious existence of these magnificent creatures."

"To be a part of such a large scale campaign highlighting the plight of the tiger with WWF, the world’s leading conservation charity, is something that I am incredibly proud of. I hope that audiences in Singapore and globally respond to the campaign with their support.” Dave White.
