Introducing Lisa Sharpe

We’ve added to our artist roster

After artist Lisa Sharpe reached out to us in March 2022 to support our Art United charity sale, offering one of her portal paintings, we were moved – not only by her desire to make a difference but her hypnotic works.

We couldn’t be more thrilled then to officially welcome her to the Loughran Gallery family.

Here’s everything to know about our newest artist, in her own words…

Lisa creates art to lift your spirits

She says: “My paintings are all about love, frequency and vibration – making what’s not physical, physical through paint.

“My intention is that the works become catalysts for creating more high-vibrational, good feelings in our lives, so that we feel more connected and uplifted.”

Using high-frequency paints from Switzerland charged with highly structured frequency waves obtained from plants, precious stones, metals and minerals, Lisa creates bands of colour to represent different emotions such as love, compassion, joy and tranquility.

Inspired by mandalas, her 3D panels are made from sustainable poplar wood and circular in shape to represent eternity – there is no beginning or end to energy, it’s always being transformed from one form to another.

She says: “I call them portal paintings as I intend them to be visually beautiful and sensory, while also being a doorway to transcend the everyday: to be a nurturing space where we can feel more uplifted and connected to our soul.”

A shared vision

Not only were we drawn to Lisa’s work but her integrity and values.

She adds: “We are both totally aligned on that front. It’s vital for me to be with a gallery that really ‘gets’ me and my work, and the scale of my vision to add more love and compassion into the world.

“I am also thrilled to be exhibiting alongside Loughran Gallery’s highly respected artists, many whose work I have known and appreciated for many years.”
