Winter Group Show Announced
As the holiday season fast approaches, Loughran Gallery’s Christmas Winter Group Show is set to open Tuesday 1st December with an exhibition fit for those Three Kings.
The exhibition will bring together new and selected works by Piers Bourke, Dale vN Marshall, Nick Jeffrey, Harland Miller, Frédérique Morrel, Corinne Dalle-Ore, Dave White, Jessica Zoob and Charlie Barton. The show will capture the energy and unrestrained power of a true blizzard; here you will find a spectrum of telephone boxes and stamps from Piers Bourke, the last of the sparkling diamond dust editions from Dave White and a menagerie of tapestry creatures from Parisian artist Frédérique Morrel.
With your Christmas shopping list in mind, Loughran Gallery has carefully selected a range of artworks perfect for that extra special gift to a loved one. From bold, sculptural pieces such as Nick Jeffrey’s butterfly boxes to beautifully delicate works on paper by Dale vN Marshall, the gallery on Cadogan Gardens will inspire you with ideas and we will as always be on hand to advise with any special requirements.
We are also very excited to reveal that the Winter Group Show will present its very own ‘Adopt A Fantastical Pet This Christmas’ with the stunning and ambitious tapestry works created by Frédérique Morrel.
An adaptation of a Parisian festive charity tradition, these enchanting animals are artefacts forged out of Morrel’s passion for collecting vintage fabrics from as far back as the 18th Century and intricately weaving them with modern patterns to create new stories of simple, ideal happiness. The effervescent explosion of works will be displayed along the length the gallery in a specially curated tribute to Morrel’s home-city's festive tradition of adopting abandoned animals at Christmas.
The Winter Group Show will be everything its name promises: vibrant, various and stormy, so make sure you put a visit to Loughran Gallery on your advent calendar…
