Chris Levine at Sketch, Mayfair
Who: Chris Levine
What: ‘Silent Light’, an immersive laser and sound installation
Where: Sketch, Mayfair
Why: Escape the crowds this Christmas and feed your soul with art that celebrates spirituality and an indulgent afternoon tea…
Since opening the doors to it’s 18th century home on Mayfair’s Conduit Street in 2002, Sketch has made a name for itself as the destination for food, art and entertainment in London; and this season they’re serving a festive feast for the senses.
Offering an alternative to London’s more traditional twinkling lights, artist Chris Levine has transformed the venue with his aptly named installation Silent Light, to create a meditative space in the centre of the city this Christmas.
A sight to behold, alongside his holographic portraits of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and The Queen, crystals refract rays of light across the iconic pink tea room, floral neons dance across ceilings and the OM frequency transcends the solfeggio scale - an ancient six-tone scale, believed to balance your energy and keep your body, mind and spirit in perfect harmony.
