Designing With Colour and Art
Ferrari Red, Barbie Pink, Tiffany Blue; if a picture speaks a thousand words, a colour surely speaks a million. A single colour has the power to calm or excite, uplift or inspire; no one can deny the serenity of a Seafoam hued room or the ambience of a space streaked in Burnt Umber or another earthy tone. Add spots or stripes to combine colours, and the effect can be even more mesmerising.
But with great power comes great responsibility, and it’s understandable if the prospect of painting your walls fills you with trepidation. Fortunately, coloured cushions, rugs, and art placed against a more modest palette can create an effect that’s equally as striking.
We’ve put together a compendium of variegated art hangs, to colour your imagination…
